It is hard for me to believe that Kansas has banned the teaching of evolution in the public schools.
In fact, it is so hard for me to believe that I really can't find the words to express how I feel. As we stand on the dawn of a new millenium, we have a state banning the teaching of a theory espoused around the dawning of this millenium and now accepted by thinking peoples around the world. It is simply unbelievable to me.
Fortunately, someone else did a very good job discussing these situations. If you have not done so, please consider this book by Carl Sagan:
